The amendment by MP Bushoff to release 27 million euros for a pilot with post-COVID clinics was adopted by the House of Representatives on 15 February. This means that these clinics will come anyway. The way in which this will be done still needs to be coordinated. Bushoff's amendment on expanding the target group for the scheme for healthcare workers was also adopted.
In his amendment on the post-COVID outpatient clinics, Bushoff proposed to free up 27 million for a pilot with post-COVID clinics. During the budget discussion on 24 and 25 January, the minister indicated that he understood the wish in terms of content, but also wanted to make her reservations given the financial coverage and the duration of the pilot phase. Despite these reservations, the House of Representatives voted in favour of the amendment.
This means that the outpatient clinics for post-COVID will be established. The way in which this will be done still needs to be coordinated. VWS has taken the initiative for a working meeting at the end of February to better outline the contours. C-support is participating in this.
In recent years, C-support has contributed its expertise at various levels and within various bodies and shared its thoughts on the design of post-COVID clinics. We are therefore looking forward to this meeting in order to jointly provide direction to these clinics in the future.
Additional resources for healthcare workers
In addition, the Bushoff amendment on additional resources for healthcare workers with post-COVID adopted. In it, he requested an expansion of the target group of the scheme.
