Get your corona vaccination until December 22, 2023.
People who are at higher risk of becoming seriously ill can still get the corona jab this fall. Do this on time, because after December 22, the corona jab will only be available for pregnant women and people who have been referred by a doctor.
Who is eligible for the corona vaccination?
- People who are 60 years of age or older.
- 18 – 59 year olds who receive an annual invitation for the flu shot.
- Pregnant.
- Healthcare workers with direct patient and/or client contact.
- In individual cases, getting the corona jab is also possible for people who do not belong to the target groups. For example, because of a family member with vulnerable health or on the advice of a treating physician.
Make an appointment immediately
Are you eligible for the corona jab? You can go to the GGD until 22 December 2023. Don't wait too long and make an appointment as soon as possible. You can do this online at planjeprik.nl or call 0800-7070.
I cannot come to a vaccination location myself
Do you have a disability or serious illness and are you therefore unable to come to a GGD vaccination location yourself or with the help of others? Then contact the GGD as soon as possible via 0800-2077 to discuss whether you can get the corona vaccination at home. You can call up to and including 8 December 2023.
How to protect yourself and others
With the corona jab, you are better protected against hospitalization or death from corona. But even if you have been vaccinated, you can still become infected with the coronavirus. And you run the risk of long-term complaints (post-COVID). That is why it remains important to be careful and to prevent infection in yourself and others as much as possible.
Do you have symptoms that fit respiratory infections, such as coughing, sneezing, sore throat and a runny or runny nose? Then follow the following advice:
- Stay home if you are sick.
- If you have mild complaints, consult your employer to see whether you can work from home.
- If you have symptoms, avoid physical contact with people who could become seriously ill from a respiratory infection. If physical contact is necessary, wear a face mask. For example, when providing informal care.
- Cough and sneeze into your elbow.
- Wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and water, even if you have no complaints.
- Ensure adequate ventilation of indoor areas.
