Almost three years ago, the corona pandemic broke out in the Netherlands. Our country was ill-prepared and people who worked in healthcare, education or the police frequently, intensively and inevitably came into direct contact with COVID patients. And some of them became infected themselves. At this moment, thousands of them are still struggling with the consequences and are terminally ill.
In the broadcast we tell the story of Melissa (29) who got infected during her training as a nurse in the ICU department of the hospital where she worked. But people in education also had to continue working during the first period without sufficient protective equipment. Ingrid (54) got corona at her school and will be completely incapacitated next month.
