In February, we documented our findings regarding the first 1392 patients, combined with interviews with patients, professionals, and other aftercare initiatives. This provides a good impression of the issues faced by people with long-term symptoms resulting from COVID, all of whom experienced the illness at home. It primarily paints a picture of the people from the first wave. What stands out is that many (56%) were not tested during that first wave due to a lack of testing capacity. This fact is taking its toll now that they have been ill for almost a year or longer. They lack the necessary evidence to present to employers, occupational health physicians, etc. This makes obtaining recognition for their complaints considerably more difficult. Consequently, problems manifest themselves not only in terms of health but also primarily in the workplace. By now, over 2300 patients have registered with us.
