The NFU announced today that the first post-COVID centers of expertise will soon open in Maastricht UMC+, Amsterdam UMC and Erasmus MC for adults. The other UMCs in the Netherlands will then open their doors to post-COVID patients as soon as possible.
Patients can report to their GP from 1 November. The established criteria will be used to determine whether a patient is eligible for registration with the centres of expertise. The precise criteria will be widely shared prior to the opening. For example, a patient must have had post-COVID complaints of a certain severity for at least one year.
It is good to see that the UMCs have been so proactive and that the first clinics are opening their doors quickly. C support hopes that as many post-COVID patients as possible can be treated in the short term. Because a select group of patients can be helped in this phase, C support continues to offer its support to patients in the biomedical, psycho- and social areas, regardless of the duration of their illness and the severity of their complaints.
In the program Kassa of BBNVARA attention is paid to the opening of the post-COVID clinics. This can be seen on Saturday September 21 at 19.15:2 on NPO XNUMX.
