C-support participates in ZonMw workshops
Outgoing Minister Kuipers of VWS has previously made 32 million euros available for the establishment of a research and expertise network and to conduct research into post-COVID. ZonMw has been tasked with managing the funds and monitoring their expenditure. They have organised workshops to enable parties to achieve the set goals in conjunction with each other. C-support is also participating in these.
The research and expertise network must ensure that knowledge about post-COVID is increased and that all knowledge is shared between the various parties. This in turn leads to greater understanding and more effective treatment of this condition.
No fragmentation
There are many parties who care about the fate of the post-COVID patient and who all want to contribute to the realization of better diagnostics and treatment. Fragmentation of the nice amount into very small pieces that ultimately lead to little, we must of course prevent.
ZonMw has therefore for the first round of subsidies, in which 9 million will be available, so-called 'collaborative workshops' will be organized. During these workshops, various parties will come together. Per sub-theme, it will be examined who can enter into which collaboration with each other in order to achieve the set goals as well as possible. The results of the workshops will lead to one financing application.
C-support intensively involved
C-support has been intensively involved in the plans for a post-COVID expertise network for some time now. We believe it is important to also be involved in the further development of this and thus contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of post-COVID and the sharing of knowledge in this area. That is why C-support also participates in the ZonMw workshops. Together with other parties, such as patient organizations, we expect to be able to make a valuable contribution to, among other things, the sharing of knowledge about post-COVID. Because; the more awareness, the more understanding and recognition.
