Conclusion of the research
Conclusion of the study: people with persistent complaints after COVID-19 who have had occupational therapy are significantly better able to perform their meaningful daily activities satisfactorily. They have significantly fewer cognitive complaints and can therefore participate significantly better in daily activities. They also score significantly higher on self-management, daily activities and management by the environment. They value the contribution of occupational therapy highly, even the most of all care providers and recommend occupational therapy for people with similar complaints.
The research was conducted by the Chair of Occupational Therapy, Department of Rehabilitation of the Radboud University Medical Center in collaboration with Ergotherapie Nederland.
'We are proud of this publication in BJM Open, which scientifically substantiates the added value of occupational therapy in (post)covid' – Prof.dr. Maud Graff, professor of occupational therapy.
