It can be difficult to find the right care providers or to know which route to follow in case of possible social or psychological difficulties. In order to facilitate the process of finding the right care provider, Q-support and C-support have developed tools* specifically for this purpose that offer assistance. These are now available to patients, via both our websites.
Many people with long-term persistent complaints after a post-infectious condition, such as Q fever or post-COVID or with long-term complaints after vaccination, eventually also develop social and psychological problems. Difficulties at home or at work can arise due to their limitations. People may start to worry and may be at odds with feelings and thoughts or with social contacts. It can be difficult to find out where they can go with their concerns.
Care network map
The care network map is used to map out the possibilities for social and psychological help. This provides insight into the use of possible assistance and/or sources of support. This allows suitable help or support to be found in three different areas of life: medical, social and school/work/financial. Areas where complaints or problems, which have arisen due to a post-infectious condition, have an influence and where emotional or social difficulties can be experienced.
Help guide
There is also a digital Help guide realized. This shows the possibilities for help with various social and psychological issues that can play a role for patients. It has been mapped out which parties a patient can approach at a national level. What that party stands for, what it offers and where more information can be found. Multiple parties have therefore been included in the tool that may fit the mental state that someone is in at that moment.
The tools address the psychosocial complaints that occur in patients. Psychological problems have to do with feelings and thoughts. Social problems have to do with other people or institutions. Psychosocial problems are a combination of both. For the tools and more information, see our new page about psychosocial support.
