Letter to Parliament announces start of C-support
In a letter to the House of Representatives, Minister Hugo de Jonge (VWS) announced the start of C-support as of October 1. C-support will work according to the Q-support model.
This means that customization, integral aftercare and collaboration with relevant professionals from the regular field are central. In addition, experts by experience play an important role, both in the guidance of patients and in the assessment of research.

C-support (commitment to members Jetten, Marijnissen and Sazias)
During the plenary debate on COVID-19 on 7 May, the House adopted a motion by members Jetten and Marijnissen in which they ask the government to consider how demand-driven aftercare can be organised for post-COVID-19 patients, combining care, guidance and research, and to include the experiences of Q-support, among others. During the plenary debate on 12 August, in response to a question from member Sazias, I indicated that I had spoken to the Q-support Foundation before the summer about the content of this. I promised to inform you when they had worked out the assignment. I am therefore sending you the plan 'aftercare for COVID-19 patients: guiding, connecting and directing', which I will finance. By sending you the plan in this way, I am complying with the aforementioned motion by members Jetten and Marijnissen. The activities of C-support will be carried out according to a proven concept: the questions and needs that arise as a result of the disease are examined broadly with the patient. Supply within the regular facilities is sought, expertise is added where it is needed and not available. The most important role of C-support is to connect columns between which cooperation is not self-evident: the medical domain, the domain of work and income and the social domain.
