Health complaints
Common complaints include fatigue, difficulty concentrating and remembering, difficulty processing stimuli, shortness of breath, and headaches. Other complaints are also common. Many people experience multiple symptoms simultaneously. Nearly 1.300 people with persistent symptoms after vaccination have now registered with C-support.
Vaccinations and research
Millions of vaccinations against the coronavirus have been administered in the Netherlands (RIVMSometimes a COVID-19 vaccination leads to long-term symptoms. More than a thousand people have now contacted C-support with long-term symptoms after a COVID-19 vaccination. It is difficult to determine whether there is a link with the vaccination. The Lareb Adverse Drug Reactions Centre is continuously monitoring this. Several conditions have been demonstrated: thrombosis with low platelet counts, inflammation of the heart muscle and pericardium. There also appears to be a link with menstrual disorders. For other complaints, the link with the vaccination is not yet clear. Further scientific research is needed.
Research
Scientific research into complaints after COVID-19 vaccination is getting off to a very slow start. It is part of the Yale Listen Study and last year is a article published on clinical and diagnostic characteristics. A recent grant application to ZonMW for research in the Netherlands was not honored.
