The Lareb Adverse Drug Reactions Centre has conducted research into reports of post-COVID-like symptoms after Covid-19 vaccinations. This involved a small research group in which the symptoms persisted for more than six months. This Lareb study has not shown a direct link between the vaccination against Covid-19 and the long-term symptoms that people experience afterwards. According to C-support, more research into this is very much needed.
C-support is pleased that Lareb has committed itself to conducting this research into post-COVID-like complaints after vaccination that last longer than 6 months. After all, this research is not easy: the complaints are very diverse and it is difficult to discover a pattern in this. However, it is certain that there are people who experience post-COVID complaints for a longer period of time after a Covid-19 vaccination. According to C-support, this therefore requires further research into a possible relationship between the Covid-19 vaccination and the resulting complaints.
In addition to people with post-COVID, C-support also supports people with complaints after a Covid-19 vaccination. More than 850 people have now registered for support. Common complaints are fatigue, concentration problems, headaches, dizziness, but also skin problems or hair loss, for example. A C-support aftercare advisor will talk to these people about the complaints and the consequences thereof on health, social life and work and income. Together we look at what is needed to improve the situation and help find possible care providers. C-support also shares its knowledge about this with (care) professionals in order to contribute to the recognition and acknowledgement of complaints after Covid-19 vaccination.
