On June 16, two new members of the Supervisory Board were appointed: Frans van de Vranden and Odile Frauenfelder. They succeed Chris van Weel and Pauline van Schie.
Thanks to
Chris van Weel has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 2018. With his background as a general practitioner and professor, he had a great deal of knowledge and experience in the development of general practice and primary care through research, education and practice development. In addition, he naturally had a great deal of experience with data collection and registration of health problems and the collaboration between researchers and practice. Experiences that have been of great value to our organization.
Pauline van Schie joined the Supervisory Board in 2021. At the time, she was working as director of reception and guidance at the COA. Before that, she had extensive experience at, among others, the GGD, as an independent healthcare entrepreneur, as a member of the task force for the reception of refugee flows and as director of a childcare organization. In the Supervisory Board, the business side had her special interest. Her input has made a major contribution to the further development of the organization. Pauline left the Supervisory Board for personal reasons.
Welcome
We welcome Frans van de Vranden and Odile Frauenfelder as successors to Chris van Weel and Pauline van Schie.
Frans van de Vranden is chairman of the Board of Directors of Valkenhof; a VVT organization in Valkenswaard. Before that, he was active in various positions at a large mental health institution in Limburg. And before that, he worked for a health insurer. Frans grew up in the agricultural sector and therefore feels extra connected to themes such as Q fever.
Frans will have 'finance and business economics' as his area of focus. His knowledge of the social domain and health insurance, but also his experience within larger (healthcare) organizations, fit in well with this.
“I get energy from clarifying unknown areas, for myself and for others,” says Frans. “I like to look for the blind spots of the organization in order to help it take a step forward.”
Odile Frauenfelder is currently Chief Nursing Officer/ Director Quality and Manager Learning and Development at Allerzorg: an organization focused on home care. She started out as a nurse and after working as a nurse specialist for many years, she focused on the quality of care. Among other things, she led the program Time for Connection, which focuses on patient safety in medical specialist care. Odile knows care from the inside out. This also fits in with 'healthcare practice'; her area of focus within the Supervisory Board. In this role, she specifically thinks about the coordination with and on regular care. She describes herself as inspiring, coaching and connecting.
"I think it is important to look together at what is going well and how you can further improve an organization, but also yourself.”
