PostCovid NL. That is the new name of the patient organization for people with long-term complaints after corona from today. With this, Longfonds brings the support for people with Long Covid (also called Post Covid) under an organization with its own name and face, as a brand and part of Longfonds.
Own club
“With PostCovid NL we are responding to the needs of people with Long Covid who are looking for their own 'club'. A patient organization that provides them with up-to-date information, puts them in touch with fellow sufferers and experts who can help them further and stands up for their interests,” says PostCovid NL director Michael Rutgers.
Longfonds has been committed to being the patient organization for people with long-term complaints after corona since the start of the corona pandemic. Started from the patient platform Coronalongplein, a further development was made to Coronaplein.nu in April 2021. Longfonds is now taking this new step with the trust it has received from other patient organizations and health funds to act as an advocate and connector for this new patient group.
Recognition and acknowledgement
“We see that people with Long Covid are still searching after almost two years and do not always feel recognized and acknowledged. With PostCovid NL we help people with long-term complaints after corona to get a grip on their lives, so that they can move forward again. And we fight for recognition, new solutions and the best care and support from governments, healthcare and research institutions, health insurers and employers. But of course we also still stand up for the interests of our supporters in the House of Representatives,” says Michael Rutgers.
