About the organisation
Q-support and C-support advise and support people with long-term symptoms after Q fever, COVID-19, and COVID-19 vaccination. They offer comprehensive aftercare and support in all areas of life affected by the disease: medical, psychosocial, work, and income. We also share our knowledge with healthcare providers and other professionals to improve the care and support for these patients. We also encourage research into these conditions.
We are an informal organization with short lines. The heart of Q-support and C-support are the more than 50 aftercare advisors and approximately 10 medical advisors, working in teams spread across the Netherlands. In addition, there are approximately 40 staff and project employees. From these two network organizations, they work multidisciplinary together with various agencies and professionals to provide optimal service.
About the feature
As a pediatrician, you will be part of the medical team and participate in the internal expertise team. The medical team plays a key role in national post-COVID and Q fever research programs and in various projects and programs that contribute to the knowledge infrastructure on long-term symptoms after COVID-19, COVID-19 vaccination, and Q fever.
The duties of this advisory role are diverse. You will provide medical advice by phone to our young patients and their parents. You will also participate in vision and policy development together with the medical team. You will also be responsible for deepening, developing, and improving care and support for children and young people with long-term symptoms after COVID-19, a COVID-19 vaccination, or Q fever. You will serve as the point of contact within the organization for care for children and young people. You will also have this role externally with all relevant organizations with whom we collaborate. Finally, you will contribute to professional development both internally and externally, strengthening the knowledge infrastructure, and knowledge sharing on post-infectious diseases (PAIS).
About you
- Experience with young patients with long-term complaints after COVID-19, COVID-19 vaccination and Q fever (and in a broader sense PAIS) is an advantage.
- Demonstrable affinity for chronic illness and PAIS, particularly in children and adolescents. This includes familiarity with current social and political discussions on the subject.
- Experience with the development and educational opportunities of children with a chronic condition.
- Affinity with the complex biological, psychological and social domains of chronic conditions such as PAIS.
- Good communication skills, and strong and experienced in collaboration and networking.
- Accustomed to a hybrid work environment and easily working from home in digital and telephone contact.
- Experience in the field of participation in policy and vision formation.
- Experience with guiding intervision.
- Looks at healthcare (sector) in an innovative way and has courage.

Furthermore, you can expect the following:
- Temporary employment contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extension.
- full-time salary between €4.285 and €7.017 gross per month (36-hour working week, scale 11 Collective Labor Agreement Social Work).
- Individual choice budget of approximately 19%, including 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus.
