About the organisation
Q-support and C-support advise and support people with long-term symptoms after Q fever, COVID-19, and COVID-19 vaccination. They offer comprehensive aftercare and support in all areas of life affected by the disease: medical, psychosocial, work, and income. We also share our knowledge with healthcare providers and other professionals to improve the care and support for these patients. We also encourage research into these conditions.
We are an informal organization with short lines. The heart of Q-support and C-support are the more than 50 aftercare advisors and approximately 10 medical advisors, working in teams spread across the Netherlands. In addition, there are approximately 40 staff and project employees. From these two network organizations, they work multidisciplinary together with various agencies and professionals to provide optimal service.
Q-support and C-support play a key role in developing and implementing knowledge and expertise in the field of post-COVID and Q fever, and are currently undergoing a challenging transition. The entire organization's medical team consists of physicians with knowledge and experience in post-COVID and Q fever and is part of the Knowledge Sharing and Research department.
About the feature
The medical team you are part of plays an important role in the development and implementation of national post-COVID research programs, the knowledge infrastructure, and the Post-COVID Network Netherlands (PCNN).
The duties of this position are highly diverse. With your extensive experience as a researcher, you will actively contribute to the organization's research objectives. This includes developing and conducting research questions (cohort studies, observational/epidemiological in nature) and the associated documentation, providing scientific support for projects, critically evaluating and reviewing research findings (broad scope, national and international), and participating in (inter)national research programs and consortia. Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to improving post-COVID care and research.
About you
- You are a graduate researcher in the field of (bio)medical sciences, medicine and/or health sciences, with an affinity for post-infectious diseases.
- A medical degree and/or doctorate is an advantage.
- You enjoy analyzing complex problems.
- You have extensive skills in articulating and describing scientific documentation (including developing research proposals and grant applications) and innovations in healthcare.
- Experience in a political-administrative environment is an advantage.
- You're bold and have the courage to approach the healthcare sector in an innovative way. You enjoy building and aren't afraid to take decisive action.
- You are hands-on and have strong organizational skills.
Due to the maternity cover, starting as soon as possible (no later than December 2025) is preferred.

Furthermore, you can expect the following:
- Temporary employment contract for 6 months for maternity leave replacement, with option for extension;
- Full-time salary between €4.072 and €6.780 gross per month (36-hour working week, scale 11 Collective Labor Agreement Social Work);
- An individual choice budget of approximately 19%, of which 8% holiday allowance and 8,3% end-of-year bonus;
- A good leave arrangement;
- Possibility of flexible and hybrid working.
